SNOOPY Village Karuizawa: A Peanuts Fan’s Dream

Planning a day trip to Karuizawa from Tokyo? Add the charming SNOOPY Village in Karuizawa. This charming facility combines an exclusive gift shop with a delightful themed cafe, offering a perfect blend of retail therapy and relaxation inspired by Snoopy and the gang. Discover the cute desserts menu and merchandise before your visit!

SNOOPY Village Karuizawa (SNOOPY Village 軽井沢店)

If you are a Snoopy fan, Karuizawa has a Snoopy Village that you shouldn’t miss. The shop was designed based on Peanut’s worldview, which is too cute to miss! Moreover, the store offers limited-edition merchandise and exclusive food menus that are available only at its Karuizawa location.

The two-story store is divided into a couple of sections. The second floor is village’s cafe, SNOOPY Chaya (SNOOPY茶屋). The front part of the ground floor is the shop space with WOODSTOCK NEST Sweets & Goodies at the front. It is where you can find Snoopy-themed sweets and small items. The sweets sold at WOODSTOCK NEST Sweets & Goodies are made in-store using fresh local ingredients. If you can’t wait to eat the edible goods purchased from the shop, such as pudding and square cream puff, head to the cafe on the second floor and enjoy them!

SNOOPY Chocolat, located at the back of the ground floor, sells Japanese-style Snoopy-themed items. No matter which sweets you bring home, the packaging would just be too elegant and cute to throw into the bin!

Karuizawa’s Snoopy Chaya

Following Snoopy and Peanuts to the cafe on the second floor, you will find various desserts in the cartoon’s theme. Whether it is the parfait with a rice cake in Snoopy’s face or the Snoopy-shaped monaka, you will surely spend a long time taking photos before you start digging in!

Again, many ingredients used at Snoopy Chaya Cafe are sourced locally. For example, one of the Snoopy-shaped monaca’s bean pastes is apple-infused. Nagano Prefecture’s apples are also used in other desserts, such as the Snoopy-yaki (スヌーピーやき). Where else can you find a Snoopy-shaped Taiyaki filled with apple cream (the 5th photo in the IG post)?
