Tokyo Disneyland & DisneySea Restaurant Reservation Guide

Like Universal Studios Japan, the restaurants and cafes in Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea feature numerous themed options. As the popular restaurants in Tokyo Disney can be fully booked (even on a weekday!), we highly recommend booking your seats at one of the restaurants in the theme park once you have purchased your Tokyo DisneySea or Tokyo Disneyland admission ticket (refer to HERE for information about how to buy Tokyo Disneyland tickets).

  • Reservations for Tokyo DisneySea and Tokyo Disneyland restaurants can be made from 10 am one month in advance until 20:59 the day before.
  • Cancellation is free. Please cancel your Tokyo Disney restaurant booking through the official app or website if you no longer need the reservation, allowing others to secure their seats.

Cancellations for Priority Seating in Tokyo Disney can be made up to 1 hour before the reserved time. However, if you booked it as part of the Disney hotel accommodation deal on the official website, the deadline is 20:59 the previous day. If you have missed the cancellation deadline, please notify the restaurant where you made the reservation directly or contact the Tokyo Disney Resort Online Reservation Support Desk.

Tips:
☛ Same-day reservations for restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are open at 9 am if the restaurant is fully booked.
☛ As the restaurants are usually packed after 6 pm, it would be better to make a reservation around 5 pm. Having dinner earlier will also allow you enough time to secure a good spot for the nighttime parade (usually from 7 pm).

Which Restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea Can I Reserve?

The restaurants in Tokyo Disney Resort are usually busy. So, utilizing Tokyo Disney’s priority seating service is recommended if you want to enjoy the resort’s nice food slowly without waiting for too long.

Refer to HERE for the Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea priority seating restaurant list. You can reserve any of the restaurants listed.

The Show Restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea

A reservation is essential to dine in any of the two show restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland.

Tokyo DisneySea only has one show restaurant: Cape Cod Cook-Off (ケープコッド・クックオフ). You don’t need to reserve a table to eat at the Cape Cod Cook-Off. However, a reservation is required to see the show.

Tip: S.S. Columbia Dining Room (S.S.コロンビア・ダイニングルーム) in Tokyo DisneySea and Blue Bayou Restaurant (ブルーバイユー・レストラン) in Tokyo Disneyland are the two restaurants that are good to celebrate special occasions such as anniversaries.

How to Make a Restaurant Reservation at Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea

If you plan to stay at one of Tokyo Disney Resort’s official hotels, reserve the restaurant using your accommodation plan. As soon as your hotel booking is confirmed, you can reserve the restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland/Tokyo DisneySea. As the hotel reservation opens earlier than the restaurants in the park, you will be guaranteed a spot in the restaurant that you want to dine in on the day if you make the booking through your hotel booking.

If you plan to stay elsewhere, you can make a restaurant reservation by using Tokyo Disney Resort’s official app. Once you have downloaded the app to your phone, tap “Book Restaurant” and follow the prompts.

Note that even if your child is three years old or younger, you will still need to include him/her in the number of children in your booking. This allows the staff to accommodate you better.

Once you have entered all the required details, tap “Search” and the app will show you a list of bookable restaurants on your day of visit.

Tip: For popular Show Restaurant bookings (such as Duffy and Friends’ Wonderful Friendship (ダッフィー&フレンズのワンダフル・フレンドシップ)), it is best to secure Priority Seating at Tokyo Disney Resort on the Day Using the Travel Case.

Instead of reserving the restaurant via Restaurant/Show Restaurant, we recommend using the Travel Case (highlighted in yellow) on Tokyo Disney Resort’s Online Reservations & Tickets webpage. Why? Because not many people use or are aware of this function.

Once you click the Travel Case, select “Month” to open a calendar. Then click “check the schedule“, which will appear when you hover your mouse over the date you plan on going.

For Duffy and Friends’ Wonderful Friendship (ダッフィー&フレンズのワンダフル・フレンドシップ), Seating Area S is the hardest to get. On a busy day, the bookable slots will be gone in a minute. So, shortly before 9 am, get to the reservation screen and click “Seating Area A” or “Seating Area B”. As soon as it is 9 am, click “Seating Area S” instead of refreshing the screen, as it will take longer to load this way.

Please note that you still can’t relax yet. To secure your seats, you must complete the entire booking process.

The next step is to enter the contact details. If you don’t have a Japanese phone number, just enter your mobile number at home.

Tip: Enter your full name, phone number, and credit card details using Google Docs (for example). This way, you can simply copy and paste the information to expedite the reservation process.

What If The Time Slot of a Tokyo Disneyland Restaurant Is Fully Booked?

If the time slot you want at a restaurant in Tokyo Disney Resort is fully booked, check again two weeks before your arrival date, as it may become available again from a previous cancellation.

The next timing you want to check for availability is one week beforehand. One week in advance is when the weather forecast for the day starts to come out. Additionally, some locals may cancel their travel plans if work commitments arise.

Moreover, check again a day before you visit Tokyo Disney Resort. People may cancel their bookings if they are feeling unwell or due to work commitments.

Lastly, people might cancel their restaurant reservation on the day because the time slot clashes with their Priority Pass or Standby Pass. This usually happens shortly after the park opens.

Tips:
☛ The time slot for restaurants in Tokyo Disneyland/Tokyo DisneySea may become available about 20 minutes after the reservation is opened, as those who have not finalised their reservation will be removed.
☛ The time slot may become available shortly after Tokyo Disney Resort’s reservation site’s maintenance from 3 am to 5 am Japan time.
