Tokyo Disney Priority Pass (東京ディズニーリゾートプライオリティパス), also commonly referred to as Tokyo Disney Express Pass, is what you will want to get as soon as you enter Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea. Why is the pass so important? Because the free fast pass shortens the amount of the queueing time for a ride. This means that with the Disney Priority Pass, you can enjoy your day more. The Tokyo Disney Resort priority pass is a goldmine, especially when the waiting time is usually around 2 hours!
About the Disney Priority Pass: The Free Tool to Shorten the Waiting Time

The Tokyo Disney Priority Pass, officially Tokyo Disney Resort’s 40th Anniversary Priority Pass (東京ディズニーリゾート40周年記念プライオリティパス), replaced the Tokyo Disney Fast Pass from July 2023. While the pass has “40th Anniversary” in its name, it continues to be issued after the anniversary celebration. The two passes are basically the same, except that the priority pass can be obtained using the Tokyo Disney Resort official app.
As the Disney priority passes for the applicable attractions are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, the first thing you should do after entering Tokyo Disneyland or Tokyo DisneySea is to get your first Disney priority pass of the day. You can do this by tapping the “40th Anniversary Priority Pass” on the official app’s home screen.
Tips:
☛ Register your Tokyo Disneyland/Tokyo DisneySea admission ticket on the official app beforehand so you can get your Disney priority pass as soon as you enter Tokyo Disney Resort.
☛ It is best to register all members’ admission tickets in Your Group on the one app so that each member has the same time slot allocated.
☛ An attraction’s priority pass may become available if someone cancels their pass.
☛ Children under 4 years old can use your priority pass.
If you have app notifications turned on, you will receive a notification 5 minutes before your Disney priority pass’s allocated time slot. After receiving the reminder, head to the attraction’s priority entrance and let the staff scan the QR code.
When Can You Get Your Next Disney Priority Pass
Obviously, you will want to secure as many priority passes as possible. Here are the rules for getting your subsequent Priority Pass:
The priority pass in Tokyo Disney Resort can be obtained every two hours. In addition, if your current priority pass allocated time slot starts before the two-hour window, you can get your next priority pass after the allocated time slot starts.
For example, if you got your first DisneySea priority pass at 9 am and the allocated time slot on the pass is between 9:30 and 10:30 am, you can get your next priority pass at 9:30 am instead of 11 am.
Important: If you want to obtain a priority pass for the same ride as your current one, you will need to wait until you have used the current pass or after the allocated time slot on the current pass.
Tip: You can cancel your current priority pass if there is a ride’s priority pass that you want to get first.
Tips on How to Get Priority Pass in Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea
If you want to get as many priority passes as possible, don’t get them in the order of your desire to board a ride. The key is to know when the priority pass of each attraction in the park might run out. As priority passes can be obtained through the app after admission begins, the popular attractions tend to run out first. The more likely a ride’s priority pass might run out, the earlier you should get it.
